OT- "Buy it Now"

Post by Andrew »

The "Buy it Now" option almost takes the fun out of "wining" an auction. 8) :D

I'll second jdad! Nothing better than finding a gun with a BIN that's way too low! Makes up for the lack of a feeding frenzy!

Nice find. There is nothing wrong with jumping on a good deal when you find it. I might have been sorely tempted on that one myself.

I did hesitate about a day, then on the way home yesterday I remembered it. Then I went home and seized it.

My procrastination for not BIN just cost me a pristine 11XXXXX serial number Springfield '03 (not a '03 A3, but original w/"S" stock and pre-'29 flip rear sight) for $400. It was a local guy on GB so I drove over and fondled it, but wanted to research it a bit more. Got handed a "Honey Do" list when I got home and forgot about it until the next morning.....it was gone!

I took advantage of a great BIN yesterday. The rifle had only been listed for about 2 hours when I saw it. Winchester 62, 1st year of production (1932), in 95% + condition!!...........$575. :D I looked at the pictures carefully for about 10 minutes and went through my reference books to confirm a few things, then jumped on it.
