Savage Model 99C .284 Win. cal.?
Acquired a Savage Model 99C in .284 Win.cal. It's in about 95% with a Leupold 2X7 Vari-X II. Probably late 60's vintage with about 1-2 boxes of shells through it. Bluing real good. Stock exceptional, no scratches, dings, finish perfect. Only variation is Pachmyr Decelerator pad (solid black) + swivel studs. Does it have any value? I won't probably be using it because it's not my cup of tea. Thanks.

I would say it has great value, not many were made in that cal to some a very desireable one. Has similar balistics of the 280 Rem if not the 7mm mag. I am sure you won't have a hard time to sell it.

I've been offered $650.00 for mine. From your description, we have twins. Mine will stay under an inch at 100 yards with hand loads at 3/4 level according to the Speer manual.
