Rossi - dates of manufacture

Post by redgum »

I'm looking at a Rossi 357m serial No. K004429
and I want to find some info about when it was made. It's got a fancy reciever in H/chrome or nickel and covered in scroll work, but there's nothin much written anywhere as to commemorations or the like.

Bump to top.

I've never seen a reference to dates of manufacture or an engraved Rossi! Any chance of a picture?

Had one in .357 years ago. Made in early 70s -- SN K005252. Not very specific, but hope that helps

You might ask here http://www.mmgunsmithing.com/ . He was the gunsmith at Interarms before they went away. He's helped me out in the past with Rossi stuff.

Mike at M&M gunsmithing used to be the warrenty gunsmith for Interarms. He helped me date the one I had. You might give him a call or an email.

My Interarms Rossi .357 carbine is #K017289. I bought it from a friend in October of 2007, he got it from a man that bought it new and never fired it. My friend shot it about ten times. I sure would like to to date it.

Sorry to take so long with a picture.
It was part of a deceased estate & I only took possession today.
The rifle is still covered in some sort of brownish grease in places and appears unfired.
