Rookie Winchester question
Is the old 32 special the same as the 32 WCF?

Got in a big argument w/ a guy at a gun show once about that. He had a 92 Marked 32WCF and had it tagged as a 32 Special. I told very politely that 32WCF was not the dame as 32 Specal. He said I was wrong and should read up on Wichesters. I told him I would go and buy a box of 32 Spls and if he could get one to chamber I would pay twice what he was asking. If not he had to give me the rifle.
Twinkie wouldn't go for it.

Thats correct....
32 winchester special is base on the 30-30 case widened to 32...
it is now typically loaded with a 170 grain bullet...and hard to find...
soon to be obsolete...
32wcf is an old cowboy round...loaded for rifle and pistols...I think..
Recently, Marlin made a rifle in that round...
the 32wcf is approximately half the size of a 30-30...maybe a little longer
