It being the Holidays I'm Glad I didn't see it as the .303 would have a brother to keep it company. .Jim.

Hey, what can you buy for 3 and a half today? Not much and they don't make the Savage anymore--get it. Just check the usuals--barrel, trigger, safety.bore condition and overall mechanics--------Sixgun

Savage 99 30-30

Post by dgr416 »

I wish it could be rebored to 375 winchester.I dont know who does good rebore jobs and how much it cost.I had a rebored 22 hp that was a 25-35.It shot pretty good.I think the 30-30s in 99s have low collectors value. It is a very good price.I just dont like 30-30s not enough power for me.The bluing is awesome. Its not drilled and tapped for a scope. The guy said it was the light weight model.I dont think it was hunted or shot much.
