I got a Russian in Fairlee Vt.
on Dec. 5,2008. Took it with my Marlin 336 in .35 Remington.

Not at all, both my son and I used our .35 Remington 336s. The lodge was very hunter friendly. There were guys there that used bigger stuff but, we didn't think it neccessary.CBinNH wrote:Did they look down on you for using a levergun?

You're right Steve, they aren't native. That darned Desoto fella brought 'em to Florida in 1521 and we've been stuck with 'em ever since.

Congratulations to your boar. Russian boar are not native to New England but there are three preserves that I know that have them. Sometimes there are some escapees and the state fish and game commissions as a rule see them as fair game by a licensed hunter.
