I got a Russian in Fairlee Vt.

on Dec. 5,2008. Took it with my Marlin 336 in .35 Remington.

That is a good looking hog. They are tuff critters until the .35 speaks, ya done good, how much does he weigh?

Not at all, both my son and I used our .35 Remington 336s. The lodge was very hunter friendly. There were guys there that used bigger stuff but, we didn't think it neccessary.

You're right Steve, they aren't native. That darned Desoto fella brought 'em to Florida in 1521 and we've been stuck with 'em ever since.

They sure do eat good though.

Congratulations to your boar. Russian boar are not native to New England but there are three preserves that I know that have them. Sometimes there are some escapees and the state fish and game commissions as a rule see them as fair game by a licensed hunter.

Just curious. How was Wild Hill?
