Have any of you guys heard of this?

This is the first I've heard of it. If it's true, it is a prophesy come true. CA did it, now all the monkeys have to follow suite.

I figure Indiana will get some real bad laws any time now - two reasons:

1. Too many idiots moving here from the coast, to enjoy our low taxes and low crime (and when they move here, their Liberal ways cause taxes to raise, and crime to rise).

2. Worse - Our "pro-gun" community here in Indiana is lethargic and complacent because we've had good laws so far, and MOST of them seem only to care if their hunting will be interfered with. Few turn out to defend the politically incorrect types of firearms.

I used to take a portable computer to gun shows, and set up a table, where we'd customize pre-written letters to congress on the latest gun laws. We found nobody would spend the postage to mail them (and yet they had no problem buyng their Brownings at the show), and we had to pay postage ourselves. MOST of the gun owners claimed to be staunch pro-gun activists when we asked, yet they never knew the names of their local representatives or even senators.

So, I'm not really optimistic about Hoosier gun owners rising to keep us from becoming Kalifornia of the midwest. :(

AJMD429,

I posted this over on the regular forum as well and Old Ironsights responded that he thinks it's bogus.

I was just curious as I hadn't heard anything. And on these forums not much happens that we miss.

Hopefully you're right, but I still remain very disappointed in the Hoosier 'gun lobby' as well as the national one. We all seem to suffer from the romantic notion of 'pry it from my dead fingers' - which isn't very practical from an individual, OR societal standpoint. I blame high taxes, cynicism in the integrity of government, etc., but it STILL rankles me how many people have time to shoot and money to buy guns, but never time or money to be politically active...

I understand what you're saying. I don't have much money to shoot, and the last several years I've loaded less ammo than I did in 6 months in Arizona.

However although I haven't been on any picket lines, or sent tons of money I don't have to various pro-gun orgs I've written and sent countless emails and snail mail letters regarding gun laws, immigration, and other things.

So to a degree I'm there.

Wish I could do more. I feel silly writing all those emails and letters to IL elected polyticions. All of them are blatently anti gun socialists. Well, they know how I stand at the very least.

Well, then pat yourself on the back, because you've done 90% MORE than 90% of the gun owners I've met!

You can only do so much - it's just the losers who don't do ANYTHING that make me mad.
