2row, I bought a brand new 20" CB in .357 a wile back for around $600.00 and was happy to just find one, ended up going one state over to Utah and got mine.

The 24" ones are no longer made, so if you like the longer barrel you had better jump on it. Not sure what price your buddy will hang on it, but I would think anything under $600.00 would be good if it is like new and what you want.

I got mine a while back (just before Win.closed and things went nuts) .
Like new Marlin cowboy with 5D rear and 24" barrel in .357 for $400.
I had a smile for quite a while after that!
