I love reading stuff like that - it would have been what my grandfathers read.
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

Want REAL change? . . . . . "Boortz/Nugent in 2012 . . . ! "

scroll down to p394 and read "Rafting on the Yukon" if you'd like a taste of a different era and a different picture of "git 'er done".

I read the guns and ammunition part and thought - I better pace myself on this :o

I really like that stuff too.
I liked the old hunters opinion of the .30 on page 373.
Haha, too crazy.

There is also Nessmuk, the father of light weight camping..
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

The .30-30-170 is probably too much for deer, but the .25-36-117 is just right, and a .30-30 FMJ has 4 times the killing power of a .50 cal black powder gun!
