Pets....

#1 Post by Ray » Thu Dec 07, 2017 7:29 pm

Folks are always chastising me for having no pets....

I've heard the epithets soulless, inhuman(e), and sociopathic until I am sick of it....

I was not an animal hater, just could not find one that cliqued...

Then the youngest grandson lost interest in his kitty and we adopted him....

We call him tiger and due to his immense size and weight and the fact that he lacks rearend traction due to wearing baby socks, we have to give him a lift up onto the couch to watch the telly....

He particularly likes that "whistling Dixie" scene where Josey goes into town to fetch groceries...

I too have no pets but I'm surrounded by labradors and horses not to mention Shirley's little crossbreed that I named Rebel, however I would adopt Tiger with pleasure especially if he has a Lyman Plains Pistol........

Stuffed cat or not I wouldn't let a cat in the house... although in your case I'm sure Tiger Can't get on the kitchen counters!

Tiger has definitely been bitten by the black powder bug….

He particularly likes percussion revolvers…..He always seems to have his nose in books by Cumpston and Fadala….

All I hear from him these days are:

colt versus remington?

ball versus conical?

#10 versus #11 caps?

Just last week cabela's had pietta armys on sale for $200 and the week before, navys on sale for $180….I caught tiger several times at the computer with credit card in paw….

I was wondering if there were any sunday comics fans in general here and of bill watterson in particular…..

yes hobbes is a ferocious beast except when susie or calvin's parents are in the scene….

and no, tiger does not like fish….he exists solely on charcuterie….give him ham, sausages, pates, head cheese, etc. on a cracker or a crust of bread and he is happy….
