Must be because Quigley treated his rifle like a lot of us would treat it -- with love and care :o I'm not so sure.... After lifting himself out of the burning Hotel with it, and later on, using it muzzle first as a crutch, I'm surprised it shot at all :lol: i need to watch that movie again anyway ...

Leupold used to make (maybe they still do) a 2.5 - 7x variable with a small , straight objective lens. Had a friend with a 45-70 #1 and thats what graced his rifle -- it looked about right, size wise
