Jim, I think we're all moving slower these days and that's not such a bad thing. Since my run in with this covid thing I'm limited to how far I can go by this tether as they have me on O2. I'm recovering but it's slow. Please don't let Paco get this ugly thing.

I had a friend in my muzzleloading club years ago that went out west to an indian reservation for a guided hunt. When he got there they wouldn't let him hunt with his muzzleloader. He ended up having to borrow a .270 Winchester from the guide. He dropped the buff in it's tracks.

Years ago Jr had a .22 Bisleythat didn't come with a Magnum barrel. When I asked the dealer he said it was a target gun and did come with a magnum cylinder. I bought one from Ebay and it worked first try.

I think if you're walking in the woods with a handgun and a long gun the point is to have a long gun that can reach out as well as a handgun for up and close. I'm not sure the two interchange even though the calibers do. I'd rather carry a rifle caliber and take full advantage.

Not sure if it's quite the same thing but I bought my son some earmuffs a few years ago. They shut out loud noises and amplify quiet ones. I can say that they really do amplify subtle noise.

Welcome back Scott, you've been missed.
My favorite is my Marlin M39. It wears a Skinner on the rear. Nothing more fun that sitting out on the front porch plinking around with it in the late afternoon. With standard velocity shorts it's so quiet you can hear the hammer fall.

My wife has a cousin in Ga that married a little gal from the Phillipines. She is the hardest working thing I've ever seen in my life. She raises a garden that is out of this world. FWIW the U.S. Army had an extra barrel that would go on an M3 grease gun that was bent at a 90 degree turn made for shooting around corners.

I know a lot of people have been searching high and low for one of the old Lee loaders for .410 and if you can find one they command quite a hefty price. You might want to try www.thexringusa.com and check out their loader. They also make one for 12 ga. There is a Youtube video showing how it's used.
