The 2`s are 2 3/4 shells.

But they are longer, are they 3 inch shells, they fit in the chamber fine. See how much paper is above the wad where it says 2.
My main question is are all those shells considered 2 3/4 shells even though they vary in length.

I found the paper shells on the left that are number 2`s max load, they measure 2 7/16 over all length. The slugs to the right of them measure the same.
