Another real fine attribute of the Glock is the speed in which you can field strip one for cleaning. They come apart in just a few seconds and go back together just as easy. Used to hunt ducks with mine years ago. Love the sound of a 97 getting cocked, sounds industrial . Love that takedown model, I would keep it behind the seat of the truck if mine was that length.

Took me a while as well, so Last year I got three of em, two 10s and 9. I have shot em a lot, and have found that they can really shoot well, they run well, are light to carry, don't scratch, and are ugly. I have not yet managed to jam one.

Traditional solvents for varnish are turpentine or mineral spirits. Try a dab of each on a q tip in an inconspicuous spot to see if it affects the bluing.

Mescalero you are 100% correct. You can see the start of Hill country from my place. If you should ever get in the area, give a holler, I will give you the tour. A sunrise dove hunt is among the finest ways to start the day.
