I believe the wax would just screw up the pattern terribly----------unorganized clumps. I did read stories where guys wired the buckshot together and it appeared to work real good.----------6

As reckless as I am, I would think double twice about this. You are shooting a projectile that fits in the chamber and is bigger than the bore, even the area just ahead of the chamber, not to mention the choke, that most all shotguns have. Its like pushing a 44 caliber bullet through a .357 barrel--...

OS, If there's that much stuff there......well, screw the flattops and look for the pre-war 'Smiths with big bores and target sights or other rare variations. IIRC, there's over 60,000 flatop Rugers out there.........not a small number.......But......try to find a Triplelock Target, or for that matt...

In my experience the RCBS primer pocket swager works much better with the large primer pockets. Like you, I had the same issue with small pockets in the .223. As I have 5 thousand or so commercial cases, I just put the military cases to the side and by the way, not all .223 military cases are crimpe...

I use 17 gr. of 2400 with the 175 cast as my 200 meter ram load. It chronos 1490 in a 1897 produced 1892 Win. It's a great balanced load and more than safe in any 1892 and would be fine in a solid 1873, which incidently, I have used in several 1873's. Its only a bit over 100 fps from factory ammo. 1...

I was going to say case spinners but that requires a drill which you probably don't use. I say the h**l with the shinnyness and just dump 'em some hot water and dish soap, swish 'em around and let the sun dry them out. Did you ever notice how clean and nice cases come out when they are in your pocke...

Yes, you can get factory letters as I have several of them.....but............I'm at work and don't have the info handy. I'll check back later tonight. You can probably get it faster just by going to the Svage collectors forum. Danny and Earl are right on the cartridge info. I have a very early 1899...
