Yes, it's common practice when loading for accuracy to try and get as little "jump" from the chamber to the rifling as possible.

Japan (at least post war) has a reputation of building some great quality guns. Brazil is generally thought of a lower quality stuff. Of course that's not always the case either way, but the general preception is there. I've had my share of lower quality South American guns over the years.

I agree. Most folks are commenting what they like or own vs the original question. I prefer the 44 mag, but the 357 mag leads in the market in sales.

We used Green Dot for years with 1 oz 8's for doves or 1 1/8 of 7 1/2's for crows in our 12 gauges. It served us well.

I'd have to take a 22LR as my only one. Cheap ammo, easy to carry, fairly quite, and effective on deer sized game and down with head shots.

I'd wanted Ruger to come out with a GP100 44 special for years, but when S&W came out with five shot 44 magnum 69, I didn't have any more desire for the GP100. The 69 makes a great 44 special gun, but you've got the flexibility of 44 magnums as well.

Nice guns, but they're a bit over complex inside. A friend of mine had problems with one jamming and tore it apart for a complete cleaning. He almost never got everything back working again :)

I have two 3" S&S 65's. 3" is a little easy to conceal than a 4" but you still get a full length ejector rod, unlike the 2 1/2" guns.

You can clean out the rust, but you can't fix the pitting. I agree having someone rebore the rifle wouldn't be worth the cost. You might get lucky with fit if you could find a barrel.

I used CBD oil for sleep. It seems to help. Be aware the "CBD oil" sold on amazon is a hemp oil that contains no CBD. Amazon doesn't allow true CBD oil to be sold, but their site is full of fake CBD oil and CBD gummies for sale.

Totally impractical for regular use. All it takes is a hard bump to bend what's left of the trigger guard so that the gun cannot be fired.
Not what you want in a self-defense gun.

If you can't hunt with it, I'm not sure I'd buy it. The barrel life on those isn't great, so it wouldn't be my pick just to punch paper. But I own a few things that aren't super practical, so I can't exactly cast any stones. :)
