I'd never heard of cheese in chili as a kid. It wasn't till I was grown and out in the world that I discovered how nice a good goop of melted cheese can make it. I still normally just prefer mine full of banana peppers though.

Dunham's Sports is the same way, or at least the one here is. I asked to look at a handgun and was told that the triggerlock had to stay on. It was one of the newer striker fired designs and I certainly wasn't going to buy it without being able to feel the trigger pull.

Wooden bullets have been used for indoor practice rounds, less than lethal crowd control (although a wooden bullet at close range would certainly kill), blanks, and for grenade launching from rifles amoung probably a few other reasons.

Be careful. It's easy to switch out springs in the centerfire J frames, but the rimfires have that heavy trigger pull for a reason. The rimfires j's often become unreliable with lighter springs. Polishing and maybe just a "tad" lighter spring is about all you can do.

Excellent guns. I grew up shooting an old Browning Leige over and under. I guess that's one reason the side by sides never felt as natural in my hands as an over and under. And you picked a good one, I'd avoid the cheap Russian, Chinese, and Spanish over and unders like the plague.

Yes go with a peep. You'll find the accuracy far above any other type of iron sights. There's a reason they're on target rifles and not traditional sights. I've found I can shoot a good target peep just about as accurately as a low powered scope.

If it's for actual use and not collecting, I'll take a carbine over the rifle every time. My idea of a levergun is a short light weapon. If I'm going for something longer and heavier, I'd rather have a bolt action.

Another slight issues with PCP guns is the velocity. Generally a PCP velocity will climb the first few shots before it starts dropping. Tunin...
