Earl I tried them for the 38WCF and the Gould 330 in the 45/70. The 38WCF worked well and the Gould need more dia. so powder coating fixed that issue. Looking forward to a range report.

Killed a small Nine point
I went out back this morning and got this small nine point with my Excalibar 355 crossbow. He went away (150 yards) even though double lunged. After the uphill drag I am glad he wasn't bigger and he is the first deer I've shot with a drop tine out of around 125 or more. Meat in the freezer is good

Re: I Just Joined Browning's "Citori O/U Club"
I bought a Citori about 8 years ago and have really enjoyed it. I hadn't hunted pheasant in years and was invited to go with a old friend to a private club. I didn't miss a bird and some were flushed at 30 yards out and going fast. I also love it for turkey and the choice of imp mod for close birds ...

Nice rifle Earl! I grew up with a 1892 38WCF being the big gun on the farm. I believed the gun writers that it was a weak sister in the woods until I shot a few deer with it.

I went out back this morning hoping to beat the rain but it started just after I set up my blind. I was thankful I was inside the blind but the wind and fog did dampen my hopes of seeing a gobbler. I had two hen decoys and a full strut gobbler out in a 10 acre field about 25 yards in front and calle...

Write Barnes and ask them how much would it cost to do a run of 200 gr flat points. It might be cheaper than what you are proposing seeing how they have one worked up for the 30 wcf they should have a good idea how to get it to expand.

Nice! I have my Gramps 38wcf and have thought of trying it for the same purpose. The 180 gr Seirra's with a factory crimp die shoot great but are a little fragile for deer, might just be ideal for coyotes. Have to admit iron sights aren't the best option for me anymore.

I always liked the H&A under hammers and they came in all cal's from .36 up if I remember right.
