Very good. I have the same barrel I'm using for a project, tho' I'm not as far along. Other traditional receiver finishes you might consider are pewter or nickel. Both can be applied to the scintered steel of the '64-'82 mdl 94s.

Once I get in a topic it's fine, it's just the Board Index that seems to lack conrast. 2 fairly light shades of blue. Probably my issue only; no need to change the whole thing, it only happens when sun is in front of me. :oops: I think I was one of those that voted for the subsilver at the time! :o

Is there a way to increase the contrast in how the forum is dispklayed? The two shades of blue mine is currently showing for "read" & "unread" posts are VERY hard to read during the day. At nite w/no glare off the windshield, it's no problem.

Is there not a tab on the "V" end of the spring that fits in a hole on the left rail. The bolt must be slid to the rear, past its "normal" operating rear-most position to correctly install the ejector. IIRC, the ejector is stationary in the frame, with the face of the bolt slidin...

Another listing that gives pertinent info can be found on the Winchester site under Services, obsolete parts. A half mag tube ought not be too difficult, the various lengths have been standardized for years.

Bigger is better in my opinion when you couch the parameters in terms of defense. Faster is good, but big, slow heavy bullets impart more energy transfer to the object being struck.

However, shot placement is still number ONE!

Can't really add more than what Paco, Terry and Nate said. May be a load issue, but it may also be a bullet issue. Are they swaged or cast? I can't imagine the twist rate in a .357 rifle would be anything but standard, but...? Also, I'd also recommend that bullets be sized at least .358. Have you do...
