Just curious, does yours have the original soldiers card under the buttplate?

I knew a guy one time who actually located the family of the soldier who once carried the gun. I thought it was pretty neat. After all them years his family still lived in the same house.

I have a Hartford Model and its one of the most accurate lever guns that I own. The gun just flat out shoots what I aim it at. I use 250 grain S&S bullets RNFP (452), 5.2 Grains of Trail Boss, Winchester WLP primers and Winchester Brass. The only hunting I have done with it I used Hornady factor...

Terrific story and pix - it's great to see your young 'un involved with this great sport. Thanks for the posting! Yeah, we would have had him out there earlier but wanted to get him his own guns and that took a little time. Cost of gun leather, reloading supplies, guns etc.....it starts to add up.....
