It's quite fascinating how much power you can get from a short .357!

125 gr. Speer JHP 20 gr. WC820
From a 24" Rossi leveraction - 2184 fps
From a 1 3/4" S&W Model 340 - 1339 fps

Nearly 2200 fps from 2 foot barrel and well over 1300 fps from less than 2"!!

There's a lot of good stuff going on around the world. Most of the people doing it never make the "news" nor do they want to. A lot of them have no "social media" presence and are not online. They are out doing the stuff.

I might differ with you a bit Doc. I am not sure they hate all guns. It's my impression that many of them hate the average person having guns. They don't mind their security guards having guns. They just don't want us to have them.

I've used matches in place of gunpowder in .38 .. .357 .. .44 and .45 caliber. You can reach 800 to 900 fps with it. In a cartridge you don't need the striker material.
