With a minimal knowledge of tools and a budget which isn't anything to brag about, most folks can add to and accurize the 10/22 to where it will be a target rifle secon...

Just a simple question, or it seems to be one to me. Would you consider a caplock with a side hammer to be primitive enough for primitive firearm season, or would it need to be a flintlock? I am not trying to start a fight. I just would like to hear from the members on here about this issue because ...

Last time I looked, there were still some States which prohibited inline muzzleloaders during the muzzleloader/primitive firearms season. If that is still the case, it would seem that the choices are becoming fewer for new hunters.

Given the choice between steel and aluminum scope rings, it would be steel every time for me. Aluminum are a stopgap measure only to be used in an emergency until you can get the steel ones, at least in my opinion.

Don't know about in the 444, but the LeverEvolution ammo never worked well in my .30-30 when used on anything other than targets. It didn't hold together well enough in my experience. Should that be true in the 444, then it might disappoint you too.

The steel Weaver rings are as good as you can get for any price in my opinion. I bought Leupold bases and rings once. The scope had to be zeroed each time the gun was used with them. They let the zero wander more than Jack Reacher or Casca. Any rings which are Weaver style and made in the U.S. will ...

Those are some good looking ringnecks. We used to hunt them all the time back in Kansas when I was a kid. We cut them up and baked them in Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup. Best wild game I have ever eaten. Could be due to their eating so much Milo around that time.

Here is a video of someone shooting ballistic gelatin with a .357 magnum and a 10mm with almost equal bullet weights in factory ammo where both are the same brand and bullet type. Not totally scientific, but it gives some information that could be useful.
