It gives me an excuse to buy an AR 10, but I will still ending up hunting with a 71 .348, or the SRC 86 cause, to me, it's a hell of a lot cooler. But, that AR 10 would be fun to blast away with.

You can use that same logic with .45ACP 1911's. $ 300 to $3000 just to print holes a little closer.

 I, too, have both.... Me TOO. Both great calibers. The .444 94 Bigbore is light and handy and has more than enough knockdown power out to 200 yards for anything in North America. The 45-70 86 SRC is a tad heavy, but will hammer anything that does or ever had, walked, crawled, flew or swam th...

Excellent choice! My woods gun is a Glock 27 .40 S&W. Close enough in power to a .45 ACP when loaded with 180 and 200GRN. hardcast. Lots lighter and more bullets. If I was hunting a Big bear, the .44M wins hands down. Protection from a bear, the .40 is probably just as good.

Lookin' good there pard. Yeah that 86 carbine is a handy tool. Mine's been cut off to the same length as a 94 carbine. Makes it real handy. This happened exactly the same way with baseball cards. As the old collectors die off, the kids will sale the guns off cheap. A pristine and rare colt's value will continue to increase, but the run of the mill ones will sink like a rock.
