The only lever action carbine that a pistol grip works on is a Model 71-348 WCF. Anything else is a sacrilege :twisted: . DON'T DO IT!

Yes, it certainly can be done. After the barrel is re-rifled and chambered you'll also need to re-cut the attachment points for the mag tube. I'd leave it in 30-30 and take it hunting. A glossy finished rifle will kill game just as dead as a tactical camo one will. I kill turkey and deer wearing blaze orange.

The .338 Fed chambering would at least make it a viable alternative to a BLR. Would rather have a BLR.than a Henry that is chambered for the same cartridge.

Bought the 27 .40 when it first came out, long time ago. 2 years ago bought the 43 9mm single stack. No jams, no problems, excellent accuracy right out of the box with cheapest ammo that I can find. But, this is just my experience.

The ultimate 94 was the BigBore .356WCF. .348 WCF.ballistics stuffed into the little 94. A 200 yard 30-06 with a bigger bullet, to smack all North American Game. What more could you ask for!

RIA that I own shoots Ranger 230grn. JHP ammo accurately and goes bang every time. Paid $300 for it long time ago, I think you can still get 1 for under $500. LOT OF GUN for a little money.

The little saw blade on a LEATHERMAN works really well to saw thru the chest and pelvic bone. I like the BUCK GENERAL with it's 7"blade to reach down and carve out the intestines and organs, close to the body cavity.

I used to fish off of the North pier, coastguard station in Presque Isle Peninsula and watched the "Niagara "go out to sea. Saw the other Tall ships also. Worth seeing!

The 99A in .308 is only slightly heavier than a 94 30-30. A tiny bit of added weight yields dramatically increased down range performance.
