Walt ... I grew up around guns and shooting .. started myself in the 1950's. I don't remember anyone using anything for hearing protection ever. It wasn't talked about or discussed. I don't think anyone even thought about it. During my time in the Army we shot everything ... the 1911, the M14, the M...

Re: S&W 329PD, a 26oz 44mag. No thanks
With what little experience I have had, I have noticed over the years that practicing with light ammo and then shooting the heavy stuff for hunting, self-defense etc. is no way a detriment. Whenever I have had to use a handgun in a stressful situation I did not notice the noise or the recoil. Nearly...

Wednesday dried out enough I was able to get out onto the Range with the 3rd Model Dragoon. I was shooting the H&R with some test loads and it locked up on me. I could not move the hammer forward or backward. Taking the gun apart I found the spring on the cylinder hand had broken and gotten into the lockworks. While messing with it I over-stressed the mainspring and the end broke off. ...

Long before the Federal Government became dictators, Winchester produced the Model 92 with 12", 14" and 15" barrels in addition to the standard rifle and carbine lengths. The short barreled 92's are very rare. This one is well documented and went for almost $75,000.00 at auction. 1.JP...

Elmer maintained that "Super Blackhawk" was a poor name for the gun and that it should have been called the "Dragoon" which fit as far as I am concerned. For me the grip is much too large and too awkward. If I have any other single action grip than the Colt SAA/Ruger XR3 grip it ...
