I’d have to dig out the manual that came with my Scout Squad but I think there is a warning about not plugging the vent. However, there are so many warnings it’s not hard to miss one.

Looks like the rescue boat school at Cape Disappointment, Washington. Those boats are designed to roll over and self right. Then just keep on going. We’ve got at least one stationed here. Pretty impressive boats.

One of the great things about being an armed civilian is the freedom of choice I have in the handguns I carry. I actually feel sorry for law enforcement as they are required to carry less effective handguns based solely on the determination of lawyers.

Remember, company lawyers have to protect the company from suits resulting not just from accidents but manufactured accidents. Note, not manufacturing accidents but those created for the purpose of filing suits.

I’m no historian. But I would imagine that any soldier facing an enemy loaded all six chambers. I suspect a law enforcement official facing possible multiple miscreants would as well. Adequate first aid kits (actually good ones go well beyond “first aid”) are a must. Training to use the stuff inside is a must. But even more important are two things. The mindset to use the kit and acceptance that you can’t save everyone. The last is a really hard lesson to learn.

age wise the oldest person I talk to regularly is my aunt. She's 100 years old, and still drives. In fact when she and her 80 year old daughter go out, my aunt drives. The oldest in terms of when born I've ever talked to would be my maternal grandmother. Born in 1894 but she passed in 1968.

Nath faces many of the same problems we face with coyotes. They breed fast, are very destructive and have somehow garnered the support of ignorant urbanites. Here, it isn’t until one looses a pet or even child that many keep their Disneyesque views of wildlife. Even with these losses some never learn.

Nath, doesn't matter what side of the pond, predatory canines wreak havoc on cattle, sheep, goats and other domesticated critters. If we don't control their numbers they can cost folks a fair bit of their livelyhood.
