Ted I used to hunt Sonora years ago, a big lease (10 sections) just across the I 10 from the Caverns. Used to see javelinas regularly back then in the 70s and 80s. Did you see any javelinas around Sonora?

Glad to hear you are still above ground Pitchy. Hardly a year goes by at the farm where some neighbor is not hurt bad or killed by heavy equipment, usually a tractor they've driven a thousand times. My cuz got killed in an ugly manner by a tractor. Be careful pal.

Jim when the Fredericksburg peaches fail to frost, I look for the Colorado peaches, which according to my Granny whose long passed are the next best thing. She used to make preserves every year.

Used a mask to apply micro crystalline wax to my 7" Randall dagger a few days ago. Not as effective as an old soft cloth, but got some satisfaction from tossing the waxy mask into the trashcan. The Randall now sparkles l!

Lost 80% of upper frequencies at 16 yo. I KNOW I'm getting older as I look around the Hospital room tonite, they did TWO surgeries today to get at gallstones, and remove gallbladder today... nice folks but dang! Been having awfull symptoms for 2 weeks, all went perfectly, I feel better now.

My brother has one like that with a 3" octagonal barrel. Carries it in a shoulder rig for winter pig hunts. You can't see it under a jacket, recoil is a little odd even with cowboy loads. The winter pig hunt is coming up... :D

Isn't it funny how ALL 30-30 is good? Ive killed alot with 170, 150, and 125s, and all were spectacular, the difference is the recoil, with 125s being especially sweet natured.

Very nice workmanship. Love basket weave. Just spent the weekend making leather knives for my oldest daughter, who is preparing for a chaps project. Knives (3) are ready but for scales.

My Dad made good venison chile and would have it ready for my arrival. The smell would hit ya opening the door. Never with beans, he did always add barley, a nice touch. He's been dead 10 years Christmas.
