Re: 375 Marlin Hammer Spur - Needed
I have several for the newer wide hammer style, but don't have any spares for the old narrow hammer. Does anyone have 1 or 2 they want to sell? Thanks, Dave. Ain't sure, but Numrich lists one for the Marlin 375, and the detail shows it's the same as the 1895. Didn't know there were different width ...

Stainless Steel Winchester 94 Receiver
So, do any of you others doubt this?
Stainless Steel Winchester 94 Receiver. I know there were stainless steel barrels used, but receiver. I've never heard this one.

So you could almost say how much easier they are to take down for cleaning? Almost say how they don't rattle around like an old Winnie? :P  Far be it from me to put words in your mouth. But, those are the same ol' arguements. A rattly ol' Winchester just balances better. To me. :P But, pretty ...

I really like AA5744. I use a RCBS .45-325-FN-U in my Browning 1886. I've been down below 2moa. However, I think the Shiloh will have a faster twist and will like a heavier bullet better. I'd call Shiloh and ask them what twist they're using in their .45 cal rifles these days and what weight bullet ...

My favorite load with all my CAS bullets (range from 185grs to 225grs) in .45 Colt consists of 6.5 grains of RedDot. It falls right in the middle of what Alliant recommends for their Cowboy Action loads. While I have purchased some Trail Boss , I haven't loaded for and only have their recommendation...

Hello.I am ashamed to say that I am currently levergun-less... over the years I have owned a Marlin 336 .30-30, a Winchester 9422 WMR and a Marlin 1894 .357. Alas, I have let them all (and many other fine firearms I now regret letting go of) slip through my fickle fingers. Welcome. That is a condit...

Vall, I also believe that Marbles was the first (1892). They were in existance before Redfield (1909). Marbles was making similarily designed rear sights prior to the turn of the 20th century. The double rail elevator though is the only part that threw me off; I don't know when it was introduced, no...

Have you checked through the various tips and techniques listed on Marauder's Gun Tuning site? LOTS of info there on the Marlin 1894 for the CAS crowd which puts their guns through SEVERE service.

The only comment I can make is that I've NEVER had happen with either a model 1894 or 94 WINCHESTER! :P I've had them jam, but there was always an apparent cause. YMMV. And it's not just limited to Marlins. As I've had my son's Rossi .357 Mdl 92 clone do similar things. Jam or spit two, or stovepipe...

Don't get me wrong, your idea is valid in a closed environment such as NASA. The only two NASA facilities I've visited have gates and guards at every entry/exit. It's not an area that is a mixed use, i.e. both public and private buildings and roadways. NASA's facilities are more like a military base...

You would be fine with all three. The 30-30 is probably the flattest shooter in the bunch. Gotta agree. If you're confident w/any or all, I'd take the .44 or .45 if ranges were going to be ~125 or less. I'd stick w/the .30WCF if shots further out were likely. Good luck, welcome and please share pic...
