Re: Henry 1860, .45 Colt
I have a Henry in 41 mag, when I first got it the only bullets I had on hand were Berry plated. Can you say 'copper fouling ' out the wazoo!? I've since run a bunch of JB Bore paste to clean up the rough bore and now it's only jacketed or cast, never had an issue with the plated in my Blackhawk but ...

I miss my single six, was the same vintage but I sold it to get one of the early single six .32s. It saw just 1 box of 32 S&W before it became the donor frame for my .44 special. It's now a 5 shot, 4&3/4" big bore small frame. I need to get it out and go shoot it!

The Lyman type sabot that look like an oversize air gun pellet that 6pt mentioned are for use in regular wads. I've shot some just for kicks and they work well. Bench rest accuracy, no but minute of deer certainly. Here where I am fish & game does not allow 'pumpkin balls ' out of shotguns but y...

He has to go a full turn, extractor cut has to line up again. As well as the forend hanger. So he has to set it back then chase the chamber and hopefully he can get it right for your ammo. Define your misfire, Light firing pin strike? Heavy strike? Will it go off after a second hit? Are your primers seated correctly? If you are getting light strikes then it mechanical or headspace is excessive. Heavy strike it's a primer issue. What primers are you using? Try Federal Gold Medal. I'd t...
