I absolutly love both my new Mark III Hunter and my matching Single Six Convertable in SS. The Mark III is dead on accurate at 25 yds and the single six is just so much fun to shoot. Thanks to the input on this website I bought both. IMO, they both are very high quality made and are pretty much bomb...

Re: Henry .30-30 model

I have the Henry brass and octagon 30/30. Its a dandy of a rifle and does not have the stupid rebounding hammer, tang or cross bolt safety that ruined the other rifles with long pedigrees. The action on the henry is very smooth, shoots very accuratly and has low recoil. I have also seen the rounded ...

Re: marlin vs uberti vs henry big boy 357 vs rossi?

I like the Henry. Marlins are all screwed up with crossbolt safetys and rebounding hammers. The Henry is heavier but it lessens recoil and is easier to steady. But it depends on what your going to do with it. I would not use a Henry for a workhorse brush gun where it could likely get scratched up or...

I would love to have one in 45 colt to go along with my .22 golden boy and my .30-30. The problem now is 45 colt ammo is hard to find and expensive. The .44 mag Big Boy would be my second choice and likely more practical over the colt .45 with the 357 the third choice.

My local range here has an AR50 that they rent for about $10.00 a round. The recoil is really quite mild from it. But beware of the blast off to each side from the muzzle break, its a real hoot.
