That Browning finish is actually quite easy to take off.
Problem is, it I'd also tinted to hide the low quality wood.
I take it off anyway and go back with a satin finish

About a year ago I sold a LNIB Browning B92 in 44mag It was the model without the saddle ring. I never fired it much but it was an incredibly smooth action This week I was told by a friend that he spotted a used BROWNING 1892 in 45 Colt. I am not familiar with this. I was under the impression that ...

Don't put a "buy it now" price on it. Some idiot will end your auction then back out when they realize they can't have it in their jurisdiction. Then you HAVE to relist it on GB and finally sell it there to get your commission back  Start it at the lowest price you will accept with b...

For what good quality paint or epoxy costs, you could almost put new sheet metal up. That is, provided you could do your own labor.
You might try a light acid wash on the shiney parts before painting. Don't breathe the lead fumes.

I already had some Rem Oil wipes in a canister, so I ordered some Ballistol individual wipes. I sighted in a couple of rifles yesterday and used one of the wipes on both guns. Did a good job.
