Yes virginia, Nevrdull really works well on brass.

I use it on aluminum engine cases, too.

Polish with 600 or 800 grit wet 'n dry wet, with a little
wee bit (coupla drops) of dish detergent. Then polish with Nevrdull.

Dodge and GM both pay their employees too much to build stuff. It's really sad, but they both used to build a good truck. I had a '99 Dodge 1500 SLT. I got rid of it at 40K.
