Re: I was talking with some friends about the S&W Model 10
Jim, that very configuration -- the 10 with four-inch HB, is about my favorite Smith. I agree, this revolver simply wants to shoot. Brian's recent post reminded me of RIA's very basic, fixed-sight 4-inch .38, although it runs like a Colt and not a Smith. Very affordable, as in $249 MSRP. It might ma...

I don't like them. But living most of my life on the edge of the Pacific Subduction Zone, they were a fact of life. Once they get above 6.0 on the Richter, the creep factor increases exponentially.

I hadn't realized the Cinnabar Ranch was between Paisley and Summer Lake. Dad, brothers and I used to hunt ducks at Summer Lake Wildlife Refuge. Fished some of the high mountain creeks in the Paisley Ranger District. It's spectacular country.

1895, I look forward to exploring your site. Wasn't aware Rossi had a .45-70.
I have heard good things about the accuracy of their .30-30.
Mick, have you ever tried to run .44 Russian through any of the Rossi .44s? Wonder if they would feed.
