Gumm smiffin by phone

So over this past weekend my old shooting coach and dear friend called me. When he calls I always answer the phone ' what did ya break this time ' Well this time he DID break something, his Beretta SO5 EELL. The SO series guns are top of the line o/u shotguns. Well he says I was shooting skeet today...

Yes, any and all sounds go a long way for puppies. Imagine coming into the world and the only sense you have is a sense of smell. Rust blue is a different process than hot salts bluing used today.
Also ' Belgian ' blue , used for soft soldered SxS & O/U shotguns. Which if done correctly gives the best color in my book.
Can also heat blue but timing is everything!

I'm curious about the blueing criteria Y'all are discussing. Looking at western movies there don't seem to be any real blue blued guns. How blue were the guns that won the west? Not seen one but I'm with you, these types of guns NEED real blueing! These multi colored six shooters look fake, only thing missing is the orange muzzle.
I know these new coating are better for wear resistance, better rust protection etc but yuck to the color schemes.

357 has taken many lives be it 2 or 4 legged over the years.

That's a really good way for them to get their products in the hands of buyers!
What they should do is make a special run, number them and each of the folks that were fortunate enough to have it get the number they were. Included should be a book with everyone's notes, pictures etc.
