Re: Let’s talk about shotguns for serious use.
I've never really been a shotgun aficionado, although I did do a lot of upland game bird hunting, and trap shooting in my younger years when I could climb up and down the breaks for chukar and quail. And did all my hunting and trap shooting with my trusty old Winchester semiauto 12 ga. But I wanted ...

I was loading up .45ACP today and found two boxes of 185 gr. JHP Sierra bullets in my bullet storage. Boxes of 100 were marked with a $6 price tag. I guess I've stashed them long enough, so loaded up 200 rds. with 6.0 grs. Unique at 775 fps. Makes a nice comfortable load to shoot.

The Howa has a great reputation for good reason. They use the reliable Mauser 98 style action, with a strong extractor. Howa also have a 3 position safety so you can unload the magazine without having to switch the safety off. Yours appears to have the HS Precision Kevlar stock, which is in my opini...

It not only proves what many of us knew, but also shows that with the right bullet and shot placement any larger game can be taken with the .30-30 cartridge.

We went so quickly from freezing weather and freezing rain, to warm weather and excessive rain, that now the fear is flooding in some areas. Even the ski resorts are worried now as the freezing level has risen to 7000 ft., and only one ski area is above that on Mt Hood. Supposed to hit low 60's tomo...

I really like SAA type revolvers, and of course older S&W DA revolvers. My favorite is my American Western Arms .45 Colt SAA with 4.75" barrel, and stag grips. I've owned quite a few maker's SAA pistols, and none have had an action as smooth as the AWA or a trigger as nice. Wish the company...

I'm actually impressed that Winchester brought this out with wood stocks, and at an affordable price range. I think if that handle is marked for the .38 Special then it likely predates the 310 tools, although 310 dies will fit it. The old Ideal tools before Lyman bought Ideal from Marlin used the same threads and design, but being caliber specific they had the cartridge marked on them that 310 tools didn'...
