I can't argue against your Marlin in 357Magnum. The 180gr cast at 1800fps still beats some of the original 190gr 30-30 loads (which seem to work on black bears). A good 92 in 357 is a favorite Lever in our home and our only real question is do we have the money. New ones cost noticably more than they did, and the prices aren't going down. Those pics show character.

For what it's worth, in his book on the Winchester 94, Fadala also mentions his results with the 190 gr Savage bullet in the 30WCF. He likes it.

My 356XTR is Scout Scoped on a quick release mount, with a Williams FP. I just want the option.

Everything else wears a Williams receiver, Buckhorns, or (Edited: a tang sight from Steve's Gunz).

That G30SF, and the regular G30 version, both have good reputations for accuracy; some even say noticably better than the Glock 40's.

The G30 I carried for a while gave about 845 FPS with PMC ball ammo. Not bad for a short barrel.

45ACP is still a good round, and that's a good pistol. Congrats.
