My 71's do not have bolt peep sites either, I'm happy with the old steel Lymans that they wear.
I would imagine finding a bolt that was for a peep site would be the easiest way to go, next would be to have your bolt machined to fit the site.

Joe, I by whatever brand, I can find in the caliber needed and they fit.
If you want to extend the life of your brushes, spray them out with break cleaner after you use them.

Twobit you may be right, but the wood is far from perfect, a little conditioner and the right camera angles do wonders in the pictures :D
A little shrinkage in the wood at the tang area is fairly common after 105 years too.

Way to go El Chevo! I hit 232 and felt the same way. Just got under 200 and have about 15 to go! Once I hit 210 my weight loss really slowed, but I'm pushing on, if I can loose 1 pound every 1-2 week's I'm happy.

Thanks! I was just shooting this gun over the July 4th weekend. It's becoming a favorite and the front sight is the reason, well a good part of the reason. Being able to see the sights is like night and day.
