Well it sorta already is near the same. Only difference is that the RH got under the wire by being designated a "handgun"; the shockwave and the TAC14 got by being called "other firearm". I don't know how they got away with that but I got one before they (ATF) changed their minds...

I think you are right. I guess my decades long business relationship with Cabelas has ended. The next sound they will hear is their Cabelas card going through my shredder. It's not like you can't buy all their Chinese made junk at a hundred other places.

Yup shootin shells or at least mine shot them. A spring was in the case and you pushed the bullet into the case, compressing the spring. I have one of the Browning rifles in 30-40. I wish I had one of the carbines also. My rifle is very accurate and the 30-40 is terrific as a cast bullet cartridge. There were a few folks heading south that were keeping an eye on WYDOT cameras and following facebook and such and they said that emptying Glendo was more than a 4 hour affair to the point of choking I-25 down. Doesn't like fun to me.

We got gipped a little here in Casper from wildfire smoke and we had a single long thin cirrus cloud that tamed it down some. Still a hoot, especially on the plains where you can see the shadow coming at you at Mach 2+. With the smoke I only made out a couple of planets and one star during totality....

I'm curious as to why heating the tape would be needed...does it 'fuse' it somehow...? Sorta shrinks the tape onto the bullet. I've tried it long ago....it works well but almost as annoying as regular paper patching. Talking smokeless here; not the more fun replication of black powder era cartridges.
