I use Laser-Cast 305, 350 and 405 gr FP bullets. Use starting loads and work up. My loads are all 1400 to 1700fps. Let your shoulder decide where to stop. They will all shoot 2" or less at 100 with open sights. Any of those bullets will punch thru deer as far as you can hit them. Todd I have a...

Even a 200gr RFN at 950FPS will throw up alot of dirt at 200 yards. Has very little recoil out of a stock 4 5/8" .45 Blackhawk. A 250gr RFN at 900fps has the stock grips feeling like sandpaper after 30 rounds. So will probably put some Pachmayars on it; if I use that for my standard load. Todd

loads using 305 to 405 gr bullets at 1000FPS to 1700FPS are the best and will show you why our elders were'nt handicapped by'em. When are going to get your own, and which one do you want to buy? 3leg/Todd PS how far you from McKinnleyville?

Stinson: the 325 and 300 WSM I came close to buying. Can always rebore to 358WSM if'n you wear out the bore. Also the 22/250 i've passed on twice. waiting for the 3rd times the charm deal. OS what kind of ladies shoot BLR's :D

Unless you need caliber specific dies. A 444 Marlin sizer will put all 308 case head type rounds about 4-5 thousands smaller than new.

Have a Lee 255 RFN mold havent used it in the 1911 yet, but it feeds and shoots great out of the Puma 16". Does 1050fps avaerage out of a 18" 45 Auto T/C Contender carbine, and is fine in the Blachawk. 3leg

It doesn't expand as readily as the Remington SP. So what is the point/advantage of having a hollowpoint that expands slower or less than a SP ? Or was it made for the elk and moose hunters? Even tho I realize the 30/30 "aint enuf gun for either" :P :roll:

Had a Ruffed Grouse adopt me up north. For 2 years whenever i came up the driveway he would stay with 10-20 feet. 3rd year i drove up and saw a yellow tabby in the driveway. There was a pile of feathers and the was last i ever saw either of them. :evil:

As long they chamber they'll be fine. Try a few and lets know how it goes. I shoot a lot of laser cast .45 200 and 250 gr bullets. they are always real accurate.

For me it was a faze i went thru, just to see what i was like. Then I picked up a new fad: T/C Contenders and Lever actions in old, obsolete and inaccurate cartridges :P Only about 1/4 of the way thru it so far :)

Well know you wanna get away from Illinois,when and if you do LaCrosse, WI has great range 25 miles away and over 100 miles of bicycle trails. not counting the ones that go by the colleges there. Duluth and Brainerd both have over 125 miles of paved biccycle trails and ATV trail that connect to over...
