Re: Wet vs dry
Earlier this year I bought a Frankford Arsenal wet tumbling kit that was on sale at Midway. Since I shoot a lot of BP rounds, I tend to decap before tumbling, either dry or wet. With the wet and using the pins I find my brass comes out shiny, inside and out, including the primer pockets. I've reload...

I must be a cheap skate, my top price would be in the neighborhood of $20. Re: The talk about forgetting guns has been useful ....
Excellent post Jim. Glad you got it back and enjoy it so much. I once owned a Single Six and traded it for a Marlin 336 in .30-30. When my Dad moved from AZ to TN he mentioned that he wanted to hunt bears... so I gifted him the 336. After he passed, my Mom gave me his guns, and my son his 10-22. I a...

All that danged trouble to locate the rifle and during today's trip to the range, instead of 200 yards, I decided to start at the 100 yard line. Took the target, camera and tablet out to the target line (I was the sole occupant), and set up the target stand, put the camera off to one side about 10 f...

In the past I've asked political candidates if they would sign the Declaration of Independence. Few said "Yes." Most have said, "...it's not applicable, now." Their animas toward America is unsurprising.

I'm only low on my Winchester Large Rifle primers... and don't particularly want to switch to what's available right now. My local fun store is still limiting customers to 300 primers per purchase... and going back a few days later isn't much of a successful strategy!

I recently attended a match to compete in a couple of side events and the main cowboy match. When I got to the long range event with my Sharps, the scorekeeper asked me "smokeless or BP?" I replied, "We'll both know after the first shot." I'd loaded these 50 rounds a couple of ye...

I'[ve found that to be really dependent on the particular gun. Seldom do any of my 1911s (only auto-loaders I have), run reliably at such low pressures. With a change in springs more reliability can be had. If a stock gun, just run ammo that mimics factory loads. Usually need not be max.
