You probably think Earl must have a very sophisticated formula for coming up with this "ladder" of loads with all those decimal pointed loads. Well there may be a bunch of decimal points in the powder grains, but there were only nice big fat even numbers on the Redding powder measure I use...

My worry is that 1600 fps is not a modest velocity with a non-gas checked bullet. How would the ballistics look at 1400 to 1500 fps? That's about max I expect of my plain-based bullets with accuracy.
