Re: Convert from .22LR to WMR ?

Thanks for all the replies. I didn't think there would be so many problems like the magazine tube etc. I wouldn't worry too much about bore size but the idea probably will have stay on the drawing board as the gun would still have to pass British Proof if I get all the work done, more expense and no...

I once had a Pietta .36 Police and a Uberti .31 1849 Pocket Colt. The .36 was just as good as my 51 Navy but the .31 balls would bounce back off hardwood targets unless loaded to the maximum with 777.

Convert from .22LR to WMR ?

Not wanting to hijack Lastmohecken's thread on re-boring a Bearcat to .22Magnum but I would like your opinions as to whether a Winchester 06 could be converted from .22 Long rifle to .22Magnum? :o  I know Rossi and Taurus both made a copy of the Winchester pump action in .22LR and .22WMR, so ...

Re: Flintlock nomenclature question

A lot of muzzle loaders "made in India" are sold in the UK (by Henry Krank) and as far as I know they have to pass British Proof Testing.
I've not heard of any problems with them but then a lot of them are used in reenactments and only fire blanks.

I quit by going cold turkey but I always carried tobacco and a lighter until I knew I'd won the battle. I found it less of a problem knowing that I could smoke IF I wanted too than knowing that I couldn't.
