Neat vid. Love reading and watching documentaries abt WWII. I was amazed to learn that in 1940 the Germans had an automatic radio controlled bombing system ; a narrow radio beam system that directed bombers to their targets in England & then would trigger automatic bomb release when said bombers...

Re: Older Movies that deserve a current remake
If Tom Hanks is doing a WWII DD Cap'n it should be good, and proves there would be interest in DD film with a plot like an updated CAINE MUTINY type story. It will be interesting to see what CGI does for THs' movie. I , as others have said see way too much flashy FX just cause they can do it I guess...

Might be fun to see a re make of CAINE MUTINY. This movie begs to have fun with a contemporary cast… George Clooney as Queeg or Denzel Washington, Chris Cooper ,or John Goodman. Fun could be had with guest appearances of the various witnesses. The Psychiatrists, sailors (remember who played meatball...

SMOOTHBORE CUBE PROJ v ROUND BALL
I think that cube test should be run at targets farther away... I'd guess cube v round ball accuracy is about the same but the cube would have more drop. Back in the flint lock smooth bore musket days soldiers molded their own round ball... The soldiers were issued a bar of lead for the melt... It h...

MM I've eyeballed those for a long time now... I've read that the bench rest boys love them & have also seen favorable comments from bench rest shooters when comparing the charge accuracy to the B&M But the Harrel's is the best for ease of use.. Set up.. repeatability, you name it..

Yep most PM need a a baffle. B&M as well… I’ve got a Uniflow I hate cutting powder.. The drop from the B&M isn’t effected when it easily cuts powder grains without a hitch . Making adjustments can be tedious on the B&M tubes ... but you can say the same about most other PM too. That’s wh...
