Good morning I have a Marlin, a 1873, and a 92 Winny in 38-40. By Far the 1892 is my FAVORITE. It will take any SANE load I put to it and with a special "mold" I have a 240 grain bullet fires nicely. It carries better in my hand and is a bit lighter than the Marlin with same Barrel length....

There must be a simple solution to the berdan primer. Swage the Berdan pocket, solder in a plug, drill the vent hole, then drill the primer hole small and swage it to final fit.

Greetings And above all else a heavy 45 bullet can thump hard any preditor that comes within that 50 yard security area. Flip that lever and there are another 8-10 rounds ready to roll. I walk the desert down here with a lowly 44-40 and I fear NO predator.
