Re: Aggravating morning at the range
OK, Ted, now did you check your case lengths last time you loaded? If you have some but not all cases that are too long, it can cause some pretty drastic pressure differences, thus poor accuracy. I know the CR-10 is supposed to be good stuff. However, if it were me, I would get some Sweets 7.62 and...

Re: OT: HUNTING IN THE RAIN
I agree with Hobie. With the older all-leather combat boots, BDUs tucked into them and double-knotted, I've waded streams up to waist deep and no water got in, many times. I've been out in pouring (monsoon level) rainstorms with nothing but a Goretex jacket on, and if there was time, the pants. Fee...

I've been thinking of having my 94P redone. It had some wear and some small rust spots when I bought it for $250.00. It's become my favorite trail, camp, travel gun but I've been thinking I want to send it off to Wild West Guns for a take down conversion and re-finish. I keep going back and forth b...

Used it the first time on an 870 Rem I bought from an estate that was neglected to the point only about 60 % of the finish was left. Bead blasted the 870 and refinished and it has held up well for the last 5 years. When I scratch it in use you just spray a slightly different color of the 5 I bought...

The refinish job is done and putting the 1894P back together was as much fun and getting it apart (thanks for the help from this forum). The reason to finish the rifle in the first place is my touch is as corrosive as my attitude and when I sweat and touch a blued firearm it rusts. The finish is “A...

Spray some kroil into the chamber and leave it set over night. Then try the bore brush. If that does not work a broke case extractor would be best. There are a few other ways but PM me for some that I have used while away from my tools.
