Yeah, to me that darned Lidocaine is like a wasp sting. It's the worst part of the thing. Pretty silly for a numbing agent to be the source of most of the pain.

It looks to me like CFE223 works. I don't know your COAL, bullet used, barrel length, case capacity, etc, etc. TAC also looks good in that .257 AI. Reloder-26 looks really good in that cartridge. I'm looking for some of that stuff myself for the .270 Win. Seems to he pretty unobtainable at the moment.

Yeah, I think you're in a good zone already with that 1.3cc dipper. But now I'm curious about the Lee bulk density chart. I'm going to go grab a 1.3cc Lee dipper and a jar of Lil'Gun and see what my scale says. Update: My Lee 1.3cc dipper doled out 20.2 grains of Lil'Gun twice in a row. Mind you, I ...

Re: 330 gr WFN GC over a jigger full of Lil Gun
I think you're close to 20 grains now with a 1.3cc dipper. The math from the Lee chart says 19.2 but I assumed you might have left it a bit proud of the top of the dipper. I got the overall length and nose to crimp length from Montana BW and built a bullet model for your 330 grain WFN-GC in QL. But ...

So in another thread, @FLINT had mentioned a channel "LEVERGUNS 50" shooting an 1886 in 50-110 driving 6000+ ft-lbs of energy. It was a bit much for me but I'm sure it's enticing to some of the younger viewers. However, in other videos, he's testing various bullets in the 50-110, 45-90, an...

Re: 330 gr WFN GC over a jigger full of Lil Gun
That may be correct. Recoil is mild. But I don’t know if it matters. It’s pretty powerful as is. If you had filled to the level of the bottom of the seated bullet (about 27 grains), it would likely be right where @piller estimated ... 1700fps. And still well under max pressure. As @piller noted, Li...

Re: 325 gr WFN over a jigger full of Lil Gun
Wish I could guess at the velocity but it probably doesn’t matter. If it was a "jigger" / 1.3cc's with a slight heap to it, I'm going to call it 20 grains using Lee's bulk density for Lil'Gun. I'll use the Lee 325 grain mold for your bullet and those look like 18" tubes. I'll go 12Kp...

I've never considered minimum fill with smokeless powders. It's different for every powder, and not something to contemplate. FWIW, I load .45 Colt using Unique, both 200grn and 250grn bullets and Alliant shows 7.8grns of Unique with a 250grn Speer DCHP ( Do Not Reduce ). That leaves the case pretty empty looking. Even their 250grn Speer LSWC at a max of 9.5grns of Unique isn't a case filler. Yeah, so I think that's what ...

I'm not sure that is viable as designed. It would seem to me that maybe having to stick a pencil (toothpick, Allen wrench, etc.) down the case to pop out a spent 209 primer when building up a set of loads is not really burdensome.
