Once upon a time when I wanted a rather warmish load I loaded 13.5 grains of 2400 with a 140 gr. JHP.
I don't need that kind of stuff any more and don't do it. This load was used in a very tight Python. Use with caution. IIRC at the time it was near Maximum loading.

We never had a stretcher until we found one in the road one day. We used an attachment that went on the end of a come a long. Another thing to remember is to make sure that the fence (wire) is on the inside of the posts to what you're trying to keep in. that way when a cow pushes against the wire he...

Not to rain on yer parade but I had a .30 Carbine back in the mid 70's. I bought it because I had someone give me a huge amount of G.I. surplus .30 Carbine ammo. The problem was only about 1 out of 5 rounds would chamber. It was a flame thrower when it did go off, but it had issues. I wasn't as happ...

With any rimfire I'd always try several different brands of ammo. You should even try different kinds of ammo made by the same maker. Several years ago when I had an FFL I was selling a little .22 pistol called a Jennings J-22. I sold dozens of them and they all worked great with Federal lightening ...

Re Watching a Movie
I pulled out a movie to watch for the second time tonight. I haven't had it too long, but tonight for some reason I was watching the credits. I noticed that this is based on a story by the same name written by Norman Maclean. For those who might not remember the name Norman Maclean also wrote the th...

Does the Marlin shoot well enough for you to make it worth keeping if it were functioning properly? Most rimfires become unreliable when they get dirty. The most common culprit is people who spray everything down with WD-40 and consider it clean. If you just want a new rifle there no problem with ju...
