I use RIFLE RODS from gun storage solutions in my safes. It allows me to arrange the rifles in any configuration I need/want depending on scopes, bipods, dumbazz AR handles, or large lever loops. Re: Woods carry rifle choice for hog, deer, black bear and e
For me it kinda depends on which woods I am roaming, but I usually take my 1894 marlin in 44 mag( I shoot a lee 310 gc bullet) if I am cutting firewood clearing a trail blah blah blah. If I am going out to bigger woods with more walking around and less working...Marlin in 35 remington. As a side not...

Well I walk what I talk. In the last two weeks 2 marlin 336A's and a model 39 have followed me home.... and an italian repro C&B revolver, but he threw it in for $30 bucks more on the 39. . Marlins are not 1886 winchesters but for a fun gun with a little history

I am becoming a real fan of the 1950's Marlins. Old enough to be cool, not old enough that your afraid to shoot them, good craftsmanship, slick actions, modern calibers, and NOT PRICED AT WINCHESTER LEVELS. You can still find these relatively often(here in PA, anyway) and still a bit of history. OH Y...

FEELS ABSOLUTELY GREAT TO GET THE OLD ONES OUT DOING WHAT THEY WERE MEANT TO DO, DOESN"T IT. If I get a doe this year it will be the 7th year I will have gotten a pa doe with a different 100 year old or older lever. A couple years ago I got one with a Marlin 1889 first year production in 44-40....
