Now, describe your favorite cooking method. I have never eaten goose. Usually, I make chili or stew out of them but lately a buddy and I have been following a local guy named Hank Shaw, when it comes to cooking gamebirds. I've kicked myself too many times to count after passing up several 99's in .243. Never again.
It's on my short wishlist, however, funds and safe space are even shorter at the moment.
Sounds like you came out on the better end of that bargain.

I finally found the perfect field-grade, working-man's SxS shotgun. For that last year or so, I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a good, low-cost, used SxS for the duck blind and pheasant fields. And here it is...a very slightly used CZ Ringneck 12gauge. The action isn't even broken in yet, so I d...

I picked up a new scope for the AR, one of those Nikon M-223's. It has the BDC reticle that's supposedly calibrated for the standard 55gr AR round. Well, it certainly did the job at 100 yards. Shooting the 62gr Federal green tip M855 round, I was able to get 3 - 5 round groups just over 1", whi...

Time for a new hunting jacket. The old Cabela's Gore-Tex shell finally gave up the ghost this last season. I'm eyeballing the Sitka Downpour jacket. A bit pricey, but looks like it will fit the bill. Packable, lightweight, breathable, waterproof.

I've seen 6.8 SPC ammo at most gun shops so availability shouldn't be too much of an issue. Your mileage may vary of course. As for the...
